On Thursday 26th March 2026 the Year 4 children from Stamshaw Junior School were invited down to view the completed artwork on the subway leading from Stamshaw to Whale Island and to sign their names on their creation.
Volunteering in the community
The Lifehouse Breakfast Morning on Wednesday 25th March 2026 had a new team of volunteers to help.
Cliffdale Primary Academy Highways Collaborative volunteering.
With the success of the collaborative working with, Buko and Solent Academies back in December 2025. We are planning a new project for line marking at a school playground in Portsmouth.
Careers Super day
On the 26th Jan 2026 Brad Yates attended an event at Springfield School in Drayton.
Park Community School - Interview ready session.
Brad Yates took part in an EBP session at Park Community school on 6th February 2026. The session involved Year 10 students understanding the interview process.
National Apprenticeship Week 9th – 15th February 2026

Mayfield School - Meet an Employer.
On Tuesday 10th May 2026, Jane Tume and Karen Brogan attended Mayfield school in Portsmouth. It was the Schools first ‘Meet an Employer Day’ held for their students in years 8, 9,and 10.

On the 10th February 2026 Brad Yates was invited to attend a EBP ‘Employer Interviews’ event at Havant Academy.

On the 9th March, Connor Mitchell joined us from The Kings Trust ( Portsmouth College) for work experience.
Observing World Cancer Day
Colas observed World Cancer Day. An email was sent out and posters placed on notice boards.

Neurodiversity Celebration Week March 16th to March 22, 2026
This week aims to raise awareness about neurodiversity and promote understanding and acceptance within the community.
International Day of Women and Girls in Science
February 11th – The day recognizes the crucial role women play in Science and Technology and highlights the ongoing need for gender equality in STEM fields for future generations.

Jane and Karen were invited and took part in the Bouygues Group Diversity & Inclusive Leadership Day up in London on 3rd March 2026.
Mental Health- Time to Talk Day
On the 5th February 2026 Colas Portsmouth Mental Health First Aider Kerry Clark arranged and invited all staff for a drop-in ‘Time to Talk’ session. The topic was Stress at Work.
Cervical Cancer awareness
Colas Staff were made aware of the importance of screening for Cervical Cancer. Posters were placed around the depot, and an email was sent to everyone.
